COMPAGNIE SFUMATO

Compagnie Sfumato creates choreographic and un-disciplinary works.
Founded in 2022 in Lyon (France), the company supports and produces the artistic projects of Clara Grosjean and her collaborators. Driven by an ecological reflection, the projects intend to explore the core and challenges of what makes us human.
We believe that choreography is a territory for innovative and moving ideas.

EMMA POCQ

DANCER / PERFORMER

Born in Bayonne (France), Emma studied contemporary dance first in the conservatory in Nantes, then in the conservatory in Bordeaux. At the same time, she studied a Bachelor in “Contemporary music, Jazz and Songs” at the University Bordeaux Montaigne. This multidisciplinary background enabled her to develop her technique and creativity as well as her desires and personality in various artistic fields.
She decided to continue her studies at The Place - London Contemporary Dance School (England), where she works and collaborates with different artists, such as Janine Harrington, Seke Chimutengwende and Sung Im Her.
Graduated in July 2021, she takes part in the creation of the MOŸ MOŸ collective, an international dance collective gathering seven women artists from all around the world, and the creation of the improvisation collective I;N, in London. This same year, she choreographed and performed, in collaboration with Adèle Diridollou, the duet “Le bruit des glaçons”, which is a performance for bars and cafés. She also joins the project MUSA with the company Irregulars in Cataluña. In 2023, she takes part of the Compagnie C'hoari in Brittany, for the creation Test Zon(e). Currently, she is interested in broadening her movement practices, research on interdisciplinary and developing collaborative performances.

MARGAUX LISSANDRE

DANCER / PERFORMER

Margaux started contemporary dance at the Conservatoire Régional de Clermont Ferrand (France), and then studied at SEAD - Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Austria).

In her movement language, she blends different techniques, from contemporary dance to break dance and circus. She likes to combine physical engagement and the social value of sharing and exchanging with her collaborators and audiences, which brings her to partnering work and street performances.

Through her different studies, especially a Master in Dance Research at Université Paris 8 (France), she has deepened her artistic and personal reflections, questioning the spaces for performances’ presentations and the relationship with the public.

Recently, she performed dance projects with companies such as Cie SOON, the Cirque Rouage, Cie Lève un peu les Bras, Cie Craque ta Coquille, and Alexander Vantourhout / Not standing.

Currently based between France and Belgium, Margaux remains curious in her artistic research and eager to participate in socially committed projects, which resonate with her values.
